Government is investigating the IPL issue from Income Tax and money laundering point of view. <br/><br/>In an interview to AIR and Doordarshan, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said that the investigation is on and Income Tax Department and Enforcement Directorate are looking into the matter to find out whether there has been any money laundering in IPL.<br/><br/>In reply to another question, Finance Minister said that with the monetary, fiscal and other measures adopted by the Government, inflation, particularly food inflation, has started coming down. He said that prices of some essential commodities has come down. He hoped that with these steps inflationary pressure there will be further reduced.
