Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment Thaawarchand Gehlot said that the Government of India is introducing Universal Identity Card for Divyang persons which will be applicable all over the country. <br/><br/>Speaking at the program for distribution of Aids & Appliances to Divyangs in Aizawl today, the Minister said ID Card issued by State Government are not accepted by other States. For that the central government is introducing Universal Identity Card which will be applicable throughout the country.<br/><br/> He also said that the Central Government is giving top priority and is working with utmost sincerity for the betterment of Divyangs during the last two years. Today's program was also attended by Lal Thanhawla, Chief Minister of Mizoram and Awanish K Awasthi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
