Government is in talks with major retail chains to provide display space in their stores for handloom and handicraft products. This is being done to promote country's handloom sector. Textile Secretary Rita Menon told reporters in New Delhi that her ministry had invited all major domestic retail chains in the buyer-seller meets in order to seek their suggestions on promoting the sector that employees a large chunk of people.
