The government has imposed a ban on 39 terrorist organizations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act so far. In written reply to a question, Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary today informed the Lok Sabha that government is closely monitoring the situation arising from the activities of ISIS specifically through social media to attract the youth. <br/><br/>He said, though the ISIS has not been able to influence many youth form India but the matter continues to be a long term national security concern for India. The Minister informed that India has Joint Working Groups, JWG to counter terrorism with 24 countries. Meetings with these working groups are being held from time to time to discuss counter terror issues including the activities of ISIS and to share intelligence and issues of mutual concern.
