The Government today said that it is hopeful of a solution on the BlackBerry issue soon. Talking to reporters after a function in New Delhi, Minister of State for Information Technology, Mr Sachin Pilot said that discussions are on and that the government is not in the business of shutting down services. He however firmly stated that Blackberry has addressed security concerns in other parts of the world and there is no reason for Indian Government and its agencies to take any risk at all as far as technology is concerned.Earlier the government had asked BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM) to install it's server in India for tracking its messenger and enterprise mail service latest by 31st of this month. Blackberry faces a ban on its services if access to encrypted mail and messenger services is not provided. RIM officials had offered to provide information on deferred basis which was rejected by the Indian Government. The government is firm on getting real time information and tracking of all services in the interest of national security.
