The Minimum Support Price of wheat has been hiked by 100 rupees to 1,625 rupees per quintal. The decision was taken at a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, CCEA in New Delhi today. The CCEA approved increase in MSP of all the Rabi Crops for the current season. To incentivise cultivation of pulses and oilseeds, it also announced a bonus on these crops over and above the MSP. The MSP of Barley has been hiked 8.2 percent, Gram by 14.3, Masur 16.2 , rapeseed or Mustard by 10.4 and safflower by 12.1 percent.
