<span style="color: #222222;">Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Purushottam Rupala today said that the Narendra Modi led government has taken several steps to improve the condition of farmers as well as empowering them. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister said this while replying to a debate in the Rajya Sabha on a private member resolution on establishment of National Farmers' Commission to resolve problems faced by farmers. <br />'' <br />'' Mr Rupala said, the farmer credit has been increased to 13.5 lakh crore rupees for 2019-20 which was eight lakh crore rupees in 2014. He said, the government will launch a campaign to provide Kisan credit cards to framers. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also appealed to the Parliamentarians to help farmers in getting kisan cards. He said Neem Coating Urea has helped curbing the diversion of urea for non- agricultural purpose and now it is easily available to farmers. He said, the government is working towards doubling the income of farmers.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Later, Vijay Pal Sing Tomar of BJP who had moved the resolution withdrew it on the appeal of the Minister. Members from various political parties also spoke on the issue.</span><br />''
