The Government has no proposal to provide minimum monthly allowance to unemployed or poor. However, some of the state governments are providing allowances to various categories of persons.<br/><br/>Minister of State for Finance Pon. Radhakrishnan said this in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.<br/><br/>He said the government is giving utmost priority to social infrastructure like education, health and social protection to engineer an inclusive and sustainable growth in India which promotes income of the poor and unemployed.
