Expenditure Secretary Ajay Narayan Jha has said that the government has laid emphasis on agriculture sector and enhancing farmer's income in the General Budget. <br/><br/>Participating in the Radio Bridge programme on All India Radio on General Budget tonight, Mr Jha said, the Government has announced to provide minimum support price, MSP 1.5 times to the farmers of their production cost of crops. He said, it has also been proposed to ensure providing MSP to the farmer even the price of crops come down below MSP. <br/><br/>He informed NITI Aayog will put a mechanism in place after consulting states. Mr Jha said, Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund for fisheries sector and an Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund has been proposed for financing infrastructure requirements of animal husbandry sector. <br/>'<br/>Participating in the programme, Economic Affairs Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg said, Government focused on maintaining fiscal consolidation and boosting growth.
