The government is giving final shape to a policy for auction of coal linkages to the power sector. Talking to reporters after launching a portal on coal allocation and monitoring system for small and medium sector consumers, Power Minister Piyush Goyal said in New Delhi today, the policy is likely to be finalised in two to three months. <br/><br/>He said, Power and Coal Ministries are working jointly to make a transparent, affordable and consumers friendly policy. AIR correspondent reports, last month, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs had approved allocation of coal linkages for non-regulated sector only through auction.
