Govt fully prepared to handle Kosi situation: Ravishankar Prasad

The government has taken all possible measures to check Kosi flood situation in Bihar arising out of a landslide.

Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, Law Minister Ravishankar Prasad said that Army, NDRF, Air Force, Naval drivers and medical teams are on high alert to meet any eventuality.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed all possible help should be available to check the disaster.

He said Cabinet Secretary Ajit Seth has chaired three emergency meetings so far to take stock of the situation.

The Minister added that 44 thousand people have been evacuated to safer places.
