Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has said that Central Government is framing a policy to increase the number of community radio and FM channels to make radio popular. He was addressing a Press conference at Almora in Uttarakhand today.<br/><br/>Col Rathore has said that efforts are being made by the Government not only to promote the community radio, and making FM channels more popular among the people, but also to upgrade the existing structure of the Akashwani Centres. <br/><br/>He said that radio stations are playing an important role in disseminating the information to the farmers related to weather and agriculture. Col Rathore also stressed on the proper coordination between the State and Center Government for development.
