Govt forms GoM to resolve Delhi-Haryana water-sharing dispute

The Centre has stepped in to resolve the water-sharing dispute between Delhi and Haryana governments by forming a four member group of ministers (GoM). The GoM will be headed by Home Minister P Chidambaram. Other members of the GoM are human resources development (HRD) Minister Kapil Sibal, law minister M Veerappa Moily and water resources Minister Salman Khursheed. AIR correspondent quoting official sources reports, the two Chief Ministers, Sheila Dikshit and Bhupinder Singh Hooda, will attend the meetings as special invitees. The GoM will look into the water-sharing dispute arising out of the newly constructed Carrier Lined Channel (CLC) between Munak in Haryana and Haiderpur in Delhi.
