Govt focusing on strengthening rural economy: Birendra Singh

Minister of Rural Development, Choudhari Birendra Singh today said that, priority of central government is to increase the purchasing capacity of the people by strengthening the rural economy. <br/><br/>The minister was here to address a rally under the 'Vikas Parv'. He shares the achievements of central government during last two years. <br/><br/>He told the reporters that, within next three years, 2.40 lac kilo meter roads would be constructed and every village will be connected with road. <br/><br/>During last year, average speed of road construction has increased from 73.5 KM per day to 130 KM per day. <br/><br/>A village having population of 500 or a tribal village having population of 250, will be also connected with roads, he said. The Minister also shared the achievements of Jandhan, Indira Aawas, MGNREGA, and Crop Insurance Schemes.
