Minister of State for Power K.C. Venugopal today said that Government is focusing on the inclusive growth of the society. He added that the power is the basic necessity for the growth and his ministry is working for achieving sustainable development of the power sector in the country. On his visit to NTPC office in New Delhi he said that company should ensure fuel security for its fleet of power stations in the country. He also said that by 2032, 28% of NTPC’s installed generating capacity will be based on carbon free energy sources and coal based capacity will increasingly be based on high-efficient-low-emission technologies. Mr Venugopal also noted that NTPC has taken many growth oriented measures to improve environment management in its business units.
