Govt finalises annual plan outlay of Rs 42,030 Cr for Karnataka

An Annual Plan outlay of 42,030 crore rupees for the year 2012-13 for Karnataka was finalised at a meeting in New Delhi between Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia and the Chief Minister D. V. Sadananda Gowda. Mr Ahluwalia said, the plan will have incentive for efficient water management .He said water use efficiency has to be improved urgently.On plan performance, Mr Ahluwalia said Karnataka has a good record in expenditure realisation as well as in fiscal prudence. He said more focussed attention is needed in agriculture and infrastructure sectors. He said investor friendly environment in infrastructure development was required and public private partnership should be encouraged to expedite development process.
