Women and Child Deveopment Ministry favours a tough law to effectively deal with the issue of honour killings. <br/><br/>The Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Krishna Tirath held discussions with the Home Minister on the proposed legislation today. She told reporters later that she has made a detailed presentation to the Home Minister. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent adds that several honour killings in the recent past have been strongly condemned by the civil society, NGOs and Human Rights activists. They also called for making a tough law to deal with the menace.
