Government has extended the deadline for completion of re-verification by the Mobile Service Providers, MSPs, of their existing subscribers up to December 31, 2010. An official release issued by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) says, during this process the service providers can correct their subscriber’s record wherever they find that the documents collected from the customers earlier are inappropriate or missing. DoT had earlier asked the MSPs to complete re-verification over a window of one year starting from November 01, 2009 to October 31, 2010.
