In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Sanjay Dhotre said that government has identified Block Chain Technology as one of the important research area having application potential in different domains such as governance, banking, finance, cyber-security and so on. <br />''<br />''He said, the government has supported a multi-institutional project titled distributed centre of excellence in Block Chain Technology with C-DAC, IDRBT and VJTI as executing agencies.</span><br />
