The government is exploring amendments in the Passport Rules to further simplify the documentation process necessary for issuing passports. It is also considering a timely, transparent, more accessible and reliable procedure to issue passports.<br/><br/>Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar gave this information in the Rajya Sabha today.
