Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Mr. Kalraj Mishra on Friday said that the government has brought in the credit guarantee scheme to ensure better flow of credit to MSEs and to minimize the risk perception of banks and financial institutions. He was speaking at India's Small Giants Awards Function in Mumbai. Mr. Mishra said the government is also ensuring implementation of credit rating system for Medium and Small enterprises. He informed that National Small Industries Corporation is implementing the credit rating scheme as these rating would not only facilitate faster access to capital but also ensure favourable terms of borrowings.<br/><br/>The minister further informed that the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Ministry is conducting skill development program for about one lakh youngsters. These training programmes start from skills required for village industries and proceed to sectors like engineering, auto and manufacturing.
