<span style="color: #222222;">The government has enhanced the financial allocation under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme MGNREGA for the last two financial years. In a written reply in Lok Sabha, Minister of Rural development Giriraj Singh said that in the previous financial year 2020-21, the Budget estimate was 61500 crores which was increased to 111500 crores at revised estimate stage. In the current financial year also the budget provision at the budget estimate stage was Rs. 73000 crores which has been enhanced to Rs. 98000 crores.   </span><br />
