In Honduras, government has imposed curfew and given its army and police more powers to contain unrest following violent protests over last Sunday's disputed presidential election. <br/><br/>A Government official said on national television that constitutional guarantees had been suspended. He said a curfew would be in place between for the next 10 days. <br/><br/>With more than 90 percent of ballots reportedly counted, incumbent President Juan Orlando Hern'ndez moved ahead of his rival. His centre-right National Party is confident of eventually sealing his re-election.<br/><br/>Earlier, the publication of election results was delayed when the main opposition candidate, Salvador Nasralla demanded more than 5,000 ballot boxes be recounted. <br/><br/>His supporters say they have evidence of vote tampering and are refusing to end their protests until the electoral court listens to their demands.
