<br/>In Jammu and Kashmir, State Government Employees continued their strike despite Essential Services Maintenance Act, ESMA being invoked by the government. Agitators have also threatened to intensify their agitation if the Government does not concede their demands by April 10. <br/><br/>The strike by Government employees has completely paralysed the normal functioning in all the government offices, educational institutions, Government Hospitals and Civil Secretariat, the seat of power with Non-Gazetted and KAS officers working in the Civil Secretariat also extending their support to the striking employees. Intensifying crackdown on the striking employees and their leaders, the police yesterday arrested at least 30 trade union leaders and employees from various parts of Jammu, Srinagar and Anantnag while 80 senior leaders of JCC and EJAC factions across the State have gone underground. The police and CID sleuths continued to raid their houses for the last two nights.
