Congress today accused Narendra Modi government of doing away with procedures of appointing senior bureaucrats. Briefing media in New Delhi this evening, party spokesperson Anand Sharma said Narendra Modi has started a policy where his ministers do not know about secretaries being appointed or removed from their ministries. <br/><br/>The spokesperson said, in earlier governments, bureaucrats had fixed tenures so that they could take decisions without fear, but NDA government is doing away with it. Mr Sharma said two Home Secretaries of the Government have been removed in the past 15 months.
