The Ports, Shipping and Waterways Ministry has denied the reports claiming MV Ganga Vilas got stuck due to low water levels in the Ganga at Chhapra in Bihar. <br />''<br />''The Ministry said that the cruise vessel sailed as per schedule and reached Patna today at 4:45 PM. It added that as per itinerary the vessel stopped at Doriganj and the tourists were taken to the bank from the vessel using a tug boat to see the ruins of the Fort.<br />''<br />''The Ministry reiterated that throughout its journey the waterway levels were fully maintained and monitored for the required draft of navigation facilities. <br />''<br />''It further informed that the draft of waterway at Doriganj is 3.5 meter which is much above the vessel draft requirement of 1.4 meter. It also said that the anchoring place and mode of transport of tourists to the bank is decided by the cruise operator depending on the safety and privacy of its passengers.
