Government today decreased the import duty on wheat to zero from 10 per cent to improve domestic availability in the wake of rising prices. The notification was tabled by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Lok Sabha. <br/><br/>He said, the notification seeks to further amend the earlier notification of 2012, to decrease the import duty on wheat to nil without an end date,with immediate effect .In September, the government had decreased wheat import duty to 10 per cent from 25 per cent.
