Govt declines to bailout pvt airlines

The government has again declined to bail out private airlines facing cash crunch. Reiterating its stand, Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh said in New Delhi that the centre will not pursuade banks to lend money to cash-strapped Kingfisher Airlines. He said the airline must stick to its schedule.Singh said beleaguered Kingfisher Airlines cannot be closed down just because it is making losses and banks are not helping it out with funds. The Minister also said closing down of any airline will affect passengers. Singh said said Kingfisher has submitted a new schedule of its flights to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, which will closely monitor it.
