Govt. decides security audit of all vulnerable stations of Armed forces, Para-military forces and Police

The Government has decided that the security audit of all vulnerable stations of the Armed forces, Para-military forces and Police would be carried out within a given time frame. The need to have a better media communication strategy was also felt in a high level meeting. Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other top officials reviewed the security situation in the country. The take-aways from Pathankot Airbase terror attack were also discussed. The meeting also discussed means to further strengthen the prevention, detection and foiling of such attacks. The Ministers appreciated the work done by intelligence agencies in giving advance warning. They also appreciated the work of the security agencies in effectively meeting the challenge and minimising the damage. The Ministers also lauded the bravery shown by the security forces and paid homage to those who sacrificed their lives.
