Govt criticizes Opposition for disrupting proceedings of Parliament

Government today criticized the Opposition led by BJP for disrupting the proceedings of Parliament despite reaching an agreement to ensure smooth conduct of the two Houses. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal described the BJP's action as a mockery of Parliament. Minister of State for Parliamentary Afairrs Harish Rawat charged the BJP of stalling the proceedings of both Houses for attending their party's political rally.BJP on the other hand said they want a discussion not only on the Sports Minister Ajay Maken's statement but also on the entire CAG report. Party leader S S Ahluwalia said that the party demands a discussion on an umbrella of issues including the report of the Shunglu Committee.
