Government is creating an enabling framework for launch of 5G services in India. In a written reply to Lok Sabha today, the Minister of Communication, Electronics and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad said for this purpose the Department of Telecommunication is engaged with telecom service providers along with original equipment manufacturers, start ups, local vendors, and academia for facilitating early 5G technology trials in the country.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''The Minister informed the House that a high-level forum submitted its report titled "Making India 5G Ready" in August last year. He also informed that TRAI has provided their recommendations to the Telecommunications department regarding auctions of spectrum for providing access services using any technology including 5G.<br />''<br />''<br />
