Government is continuing to procure Kharif 2020-21 crops at its Minimum Support Price from farmers as per its existing MSP Schemes as was done in previous seasons.<br />'' <br />''The Paddy procurement for Kharif Marketing Season 2020-21 is going on smoothly in the procuring States and Union Territories of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chandigarh, Kerala and Jammu and Kashmir with purchase of over 62 Lakh Metric Tonnes of paddy from 5.33 lakh farmers with MSP value of 11 thousand 7 hundred 85.68 Crore rupees.<br />'' <br />''Based on the proposal from the States, approval was accorded for procurement of over 41 Lakh Metric Tonnes  of Pulse and Oilseeds for Kharif Marketing Season 2020 for the States of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. Further, sanction for procurement of 1.23 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Copra the perennial crop for the State of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala was also given.<br />'' <br />''Government through its Nodal Agencies has procured 686.74 Metric Tonnes of Moong and Urad having MSP value of 4.94 Crore rupees benefitting 639 farmers in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Haryana.
