Govt constitutes working group to look into workers issues

The government has constituted a 15- member Working Group to look into the issues concerning the Sanitation and Leather Workers. This was constituted by the Ministry of Labour and Employment in consultation with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. According to the official sources, the Working Group will look into the issue of framing of legislation for certain matters relating to Sanitation workers and Leather Workers. The group has been asked to submit its reports to the government by 30th of September this year. The group will include Mr. Anil Swarup, Joint Secretary, Ministry of labour and a representative each from the Union Ministries of Social Justice and Empowerment, Urban Development, Railways and Planning Commission. <br/>
