Govt constituted KRMB to look into matter of water sharing between AP, Telangana: Sanjeev Balyan

Minister of state for Water Resources and River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Balyan today informed the Lok Sabha that the central government has constituted Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) to look into the matter of water sharing between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. <br/><br/>Replying to questions in the House, Dr Balyan said, KRMB is issuing water release orders from time to time based on adhoc arrangement as agreed by Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh for sharing Krishna water till the final allocation is made by the Krishna Water Dispute Tribunal -II. The minister informed the House that KRMB has started the work of installation of telemetry system in Krishna Basin in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh at various places of inflows, outflows and withdrawal of water to bring the transparency.<br/><br/>Dr Balyan said, issues raised by the state governments are resolved in terms of Krishna Water Dispute Tribunal award and other agreements made between the party states by KRMB through its Board meetings and Apex Council Meetings.
