The government today said, it is constantly trying to improve India's position in terms of Doing Business. In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said, the government is aware of the recent World Bank report on Doing Business in which India has been ranked 172nd amongst 190 countries surveyed on the point of paying taxes.He said, the government has some reservations about the methodology of the assessment parameters in this regard. Mr Jaitley said, India has been considering a number of initiatives to ease tax compliance for tax payers.
