Government is considering a proposal to sell 65 per cent power from the upcoming Kobra Super Thermal Power project phase three. A similar proposal to sell 63 per cent power of Farraka Super Thermal Power Project phase three is also under consideration. The two projects have thousand mega watt generation capacities. This information was given by the Power Minister Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today. He said NTPC sells full quantum of its power from existing power stations to the State Power utilities and distribution companies. Power purchasing agreements have been reached with these utilities and the tariff is based by the central regulatory commission.
