A proposal for setting up of equal opportunity commission is under the consideration of the government. This was stated in a written reply in Lok Sabha by the Minister of Minority Affairs Salman Khurshid. He said that an expert group which had been set up to examine and determine the structure and functions of the commission has already submitted its report along with a Draft bill for the purpose. Mr. Khurshid however did not give a timeframe for the introduction of the bill in Parliament in this regard.
