The government today said that the review of the Atomic Energy Act of 1962 is under its consideration. In a written reply in Lok Sabha today, the Minister of State for Planning and Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Narayansami said that the government is reviewing the Act as well as the strengthening of atomic energy regulatory board. He said this is to carry out responsibilities relating to the ratification of convention on Physical Protection of Nuclear Materials.
