The government is looking into a proposal for 50 temperature-controlled posts along the India-China border for ITBP jawans who guard the Himalayan heights in sub-zero temperatures. <br/><br/>Addressing personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, ITBP at Greater Noida, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, the government is considering using technology to maintain a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius in the proposed new posts. <br/><br/>These will be located in high-altitude areas where ITBP jawans have to bear the brunt of snow blizzards and sub-zero temperatures. Mr Singh said, a model Border out Posts is being made at Ladakh with the purpose to maintain a uniform 20 degree Celsius temperature.<br/><br/>Home Minister said that the ITBP jawans have made supreme sacrifices while protecting the border in difficult circumstances at altitudes ranging from nine thousand feet to 18 thousand feet. <br/><br/>He said that ITBP not only protects Indo-China Border but also plays a responsible role in country's internal security.
