Govt committed to uphold independence of CBI: Jitendra Singh

Minister of state for PMO Jitendra Singh has said the present government is committed to upholding the independence of CBI and will provide a conducive environment so that the agency can work as per its potential.<br/><br/>Addressing the valedictory session of the 21st Annual conference of CBI and Anti corruption Bureaux in New Delhi today, the Minister said the political dispensation is meant as facilitator and not as an intimidator to the professionals .<br/><br/>Mr Jitendra said the NDA government is committed to curb the corruption and will take-up all the Bills which are pending in parliament in the upcoming winter session in this direction. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion the CBI Director, Anil Sinha said in the current scenario the corruption cases of complex financial crime poses newer and multiple challenges for the agency. <br/>The two day conference was held to promote and increase the exchange of corruption data among law enforcement agencies and anti-corruption entities worldwide. The conference was attended by over 100 delegates from 50 countries.
