Govt committed to turn Ganga into world's 10 cleanest rivers: Uma Bharti

Union Minister of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Uma Bharti said that government is committed to turn Ganga into the 10 cleanest rivers of the world within seven years as it is among the top 10 polluted rivers in the world. Addressing a national level seminar on clean and sustainable ground water in Kurukshetra.<br/><br/>She said that even treated water should not be allowed to flow in Ganga. Uma Bharti said treated water may be used for other purposes like agriculture, gardening and infrastructure development.<br/><br/>Minister said before constructing any dam it must be ensured that the dam would not kill any river.<br/><br/>Uma Bharti said it must be ensured that ample water flows in the river after the construction of any dam
