The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has appealed to Yogaguru Baba Ramdev to call off his proposed fast on the black money issue. He said, he has written to Baba Ramdev not to go ahead with his proposed agitation. Speaking on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi, Dr Singh said the government is committed to tackle the issue of corruption by using all resources at its disposal. Dr Singh said the finance minister has briefed him on the black money issue and the government is making serious efforts to deal with this menace.Meanwhile, Yoga Guru Ramdev has opposed bringing Prime Minister and Chief Justice of India within the ambit of Lokpal. The Income Tax department has said it is ready to consider Ramdev's suggestions for unearthing unaccounted money. Central Board of Direct Taxes Chairman Sudhir Chandra, who had earlier briefed Ramdev on the steps being taken by the government to unearth black money, said that Ramdevji's suggestions were constructive and constructive ideas should be considered by the government.
