Govt committed to providing high quality health services at cheaper rate: HRD Minister

Union Minister of Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar said that the Government is committed to providing high quality health services at a cheaper rate. Javadekar was addressing the Graduation Ceremony of students of Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai today. <br/><br/>The HRD minister said that there is a need to trust the best brains, academic and teaching faculties and give them autonomy which will raise the quality standards. He said that industry interaction is essential as it will lead to composite structural development. <br/><br/>Javadekar said that initially when people were diagnosed with cancer, there was a fear of death, but it is the credit of institutes like Tata Memorial Centre that the fear of cancer as an incurable disease has softened.<br/><br/>He further said that it is the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to start twenty World Class Institutes, ten in public sector and 10 in private sector.
