Govt committed to provide quality education to all: Javadekar

Union Minister for Human Resources Development Prakash Javadekar has said that Government has made provision of 2000 Crore Rupees to encourage research and inventions. He was speaking at the 110th Convocation of Savitribai Fule Pune University today. <br/><br/>The Minister said that this amount will be utilized for creating basic infrastructure essential for research, for providing Scholarships and for paying salaries of Professors of international reputation. He said that quality education is the main challenge and the government is committed to provide quality education to all.<br/><br/>Degrees were conferred to 95 thousand 742 students in the convocation today. 294 students were awarded Ph.D and 107 students were recipients of Gold Medals. From this year first time University has made Degrees available for Online Verification through Central Depository Services Limited. Vice Chancellor Dr. Vasudev Gade also spoke on this occasion.<br/><br/>Before the convocation function Mr. Javadekar had an interaction with the students from 600 collages affiliated to the Savitribai Fule Pune University from E Content Studio of the University. He talked with the students on Cash Less Transactions.
