Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said that the state government is committed to eradicating corruption and has taken many steps like the appointment of Lokayukta and introduction of the concept of deemed clearance, to combat the menace in the state.Speaking to media persons in the Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday, Mr Hooda said, while the Indian National Lok Dal Government had diluted the powers and even removed the Lokayukta, the present government has done everything possible to make the Lokayukta functional. Mr Hooda said, his government has fixed time-limit for various clearances, and if clearance is not given within the stipulated time period, it is considered to be given under the deemed clearance concept. Seeking the support of the people in the fight against corruption, he said that all should support this crusade. The Chief Minister also said that the state government has no hitch in introducing the Right to Service Act but it took time to shift from one system to another. He said, the citizens have been assured time-bound delivery of certain services.
