Govt committed to elimination of child labour by adopting multi-pronged strategy

<span style="color: #222222;">The government is committed to the elimination of child labour in the country by adopting a holistic and multi-pronged strategy.  Minister of State for Labour and Employment Santosh Kumar Gangwar said, the incidence of child labour which was 1.26 crore as per 2001 census, has been reduced to 1.01 crore as per 2011 census. He gave this information in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In reply to another question, the minister said, a sum of 1178 lakh rupees was released for rehabilitation of 11,296 rescued bonded labourers since the introduction of the central sector scheme in May 2016.</span><br />
