Home Minister Rajnath Singh today reiterated in the Lok Sabha that government is committed to eliminate the left wing extremist activities.
Making a statement on the recent maoist attack in Sukma District of Chhattisagarh which claimed 14 lives of CRPF personnel, the Minister said that the government will continue the operation against the maoists in the area. He said, sufficient resources will be made available to the security forces engaged in the operation. He said, government is also taking number of steps to strengthen the State Police Force . He said, incidents of Maoist activities is declining since 2011 and the trend is continuing.
Mr Rajnath Singh said that Maoists are losing their feet as security forces has strongly retaliated against them. He added, this results in raising numbers of surrenders of Maoists. He said, government is also committed to the development of the area and benefiting the weaker section of the society.
