Govt committed to consider reservation for minorities: Khurshid

The government is committed to consider reservation for minorities . Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, Minority Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid today said reservation for minorities is a commitment the Congress made in its manifesto.

Maintaining that the government must fulfil the promises it made he said, the government would soon take a decision on providing reservation for backward Muslims by including them in the 27 per cent OBC quota. Mr Khursid said a proposal in this regard would soon come up before Cabinet.

Replying to a query on Team Anna's demand for including Group C employees in the ambit of Lokpal, Mr Khurshid said
government is working on it to find the best solution.
