<span style="color: #222222;">Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has said that his government is committed for the protection of the Assamese people. Addressing a rally at Sualkuchi today, the Chief Minister said that no force in the world could defeat the Assamese people. He assured that his government would not do anything against the interest of the indigenous people. Mr Sonowal said that people should know why BJP ministers, MLAs and party workers have been targeted in the name of CAA protest. He said that the Congress and the Left parties allowed illegal foreigners to settle for vote bank politics.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Addressing the rally, Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reiterated that no new Hindu Bangladeshi citizens would settle in the state through Citizenship Amendment Act. State BJP President Ranjit Kumar Dass, Asom Gana Parishad leaders and ministers Atul Bora, Keshab Mahanta also took part in the rally.</span><br />
