Govt closely monitoring recruitment activities of Islamic State group in India

The government is monitoring the recruitment of youth by Islamic State terror group and has directed the intelligence and security agencies to identify potential recruits and keep them under surveillance. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today, Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parthibhai Choudhary said cyber space is also being closely monitored in this regard. <br/><br/>He said, IS has already been notified as a terrorist organisation and included in the first schedule of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. Mr Choudhary said, the outfit uses both negative and positive imagery to attract the recruits from across the world but it has been able to influence very few youth in India.
